Keene’s Depot first opened its doors in 1946. Over the next 70+ years, Keene’s Depot served its local community as a grocery store, ice house, and sporting goods store. Beginning a new era in 2001, they shifted their focus to finding a niche in their region. There was a strong need for a dedicated firearm and shooting sports store in their part of Kentucky.
So, they evolved from a local depot store to KYGUNCO, a sporting goods store where you can fill all your shooting sports needs. Continuing the Company’s evolution in 2007 after being prompted by customers, they started branching into the e-commerce side of the business.
It continued to grow as a company that always answers customer calls and is in an industry influenced by political climates. In 2017 they ventured into the power sports industry by purchasing a Honda Powersports Dealership.
KYGUNCO continues growing and evolving to become a one-stop shooting sports shop, spreading out into the archery Industry in 2018.
